Hi! I’m Shalom - a registered social worker in private practice, counsellor, harpist, and certified therapeutic musician in the Vancouver BC area.

As a counsellor, I support women who have been subjected to coercive control and abuse. Together we explore impact of abuse and develop strategies for communication, safety, parenting, and healing while coping with grief, loss, family court, and co-parenting. My practice is virtual and I am licensed to offer therapy for women anywhere in BC.

As a therapeutic harpist, I work with anyone who is seeking to rest and reconnect with themselves. Restorative harp sessions support nervous system regulation and are effective in lowering stress, promoting relaxation, and processing memories and emotions. I offer in-person sessions as well as virtual sessions.

I accept FNHA and CVAP funding, and as a registered social worker my services are covered by many extended benefits plans.

In addition to individual sessions, I offer experiential therapeutic music workshops for teams, conferences, and retreats. People who have experienced group therapeutic harp sessions with me have shared that they are left feeling restored, reconnected to their inner voice and creativity, and ready to connect in new ways as a team.

My background in social work, therapeutic music, non-profits and workshop facilitation combined with my knowledge of the neuroscience of music, and my trauma and abuse-informed approach to practice position me uniquely to offer curated therapeutic music sessions that are both informative and deeply restorative for a wide range of people.

When I am not working with clients or playing my harp, you might find me exploring nature with my young sons, swimming, officiating weddings, or finding creative ways to deconstruct the patriarchy!
